Tim Hansen
1949-2024
Tim Hansen, 74, of Kenosha passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024, at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Tim was born on August 9, 1949, in Kenosha, the son of the late Irving and Elizabeth (Brown) Hansen. He had three daughters, Gwen, Jenna, and Claire.
Tim was educated in the schools of Kenosha with a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He spent most of his career employed by Kenosha Unified at Bradford High School. He was the dean of attendance and softball coach for many years. After retirement he worked part-time for The Birds Nest. He had many fond memories and relationships from his time at both.
Throughout his life he had a lot of passions. Most recently it was bird watching. He loved traveling around the state looking for new birds. He was very proud of his ability to identify birds and took amazing pictures. Over the years he also loved reading, cooking, bike riding, kiting, and cheering for the Packers, Brewers & Badgers. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Tim is survived by his children, Gwen (Terry) Tifft of Kenosha, Jenna (Jake) Smith of Union Grove, Claire (Dan) Diaz of Hickory Hills, IL; brother, Jeff (Jackie) Hansen of Fond du Lac; and grandchildren, Lucas, Ava, Emma, Matthew and Penelope.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Chris and Eric; and previous wife, Gail.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
