Family Owned & Locally Operated

When visiting Kenosha Funeral Services, you deal directly with the owners, Susan Braun, and her son Matthew Braun. They are not owned by a franchise or an out-of-town corporation; they are locally owned & operated. The Braun’s live in Pleasant Prairie and raised their three sons Joseph, Matthew & Luke. The family is active in the community, sponsoring numerous local softball and basketball teams throughout the years. Allen Braun was licensed by the State of Wisconsin and was in the funeral business for 41 years. Susan brings 25 years of business experience to the company. Together, the Braun’s are committed to offering you and your family sensitive and respectful services at an affordable price.

Low Cost does not Mean Low Quality (The best service doesn’t have to cost you more, it may even cost you less.)

Funeral services do not need to be expensive to be respectful and sensitive to family needs. Respect and sensibility cannot be purchased. These are qualities that must be part of the overall philosophy of your provider and their employees. Kenosha Funeral Services is a family-owned business that truly believes we can provide a meaningful dignified funeral service that will meet your needs and touch the lives of your loved ones.

In The Beginning

What we are all about...Allen was a Funeral Director for over 41 years, working for various local funeral homes. Along with his wife, Susan, they felt Kenosha needed a funeral home that would offer all the services of a "big" funeral home, while keeping the costs down. In 1997, they started & opened Kenosha Funeral Services and have been serving Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie, Somers, & all of Kenosha County ever since. In January of 2003 they opened their new funeral facility at 8226 - Sheridan Road, & in January of 2010 they added an on-site crematory. When you come to Kenosha Funeral Services, you don't come to a funeral home, you come to "our" home. We treat you like our family, and intend to make funeral planning as stressless as possible. That is why we also offer monuments/headstones and flower arrangements at a reduced cost. You already have a lot weighing on your mind during this difficult time. If we can help alleviate even a little of the stress, then we've done what we've set out to do, which is to treat everyone as we would want to be treated.
